The Partners For Progress (PFP) is being created to become the public policy arm of the Chamber of Commerce of West Volusia. The PFP will be both an initiative and solution driven, member organization, focused on shaping & influencing policy within the region and improving the quality of life we all enjoy within our community. The PFP will work closely with local government, business and community leaders to identify the developmental needs for the region. And further, to build regional plans and partnerships to satisfy those needs.

Currently, the PFP holds quarterly luncheons with guest speakers discussing pertinent issues that directly affect our region. Past speakers and subjects have been George Livingston, President of NAIRealvest, speaking on the commercial and light industrial needs of the region. We were pleased to have had the City Managers from Orange City, Deltona, and Debary speaking in a panel format on the effects of the state mandated tax reforms recently passed by the Fla. Legislature. With upcoming subjects such as our water needs and possible solutions, commuter rail and the positive impacts this system will have on the region and how the system will grow in the future.
